Liam and I were asked to do some portraits of Fokofpolisiekar for publicity for their new album. The black and white pics were shot in Pretoria while Liam was doing his portraits and the colour was in Boksburg. Boksburg, lovely.
Got to work on some more of the Tiffendell pics. Oh, the previous entry is called ‘Bruised Ribs’ because I feel snowboarding and, yes, bruised my ribs. Sneezing isn’t fun anymore, it hurts like hell.

Just after I arrived back from Oppikoppi Brendan Body from Session Magazine asked me to join him and the Volcom skate team for a road trip to Tiffendell ski resort for some snowboarding and a fair dose of debauchery. How could I say no? I’m not to sure on dates but it was about two or three weeks ago. We left on the Thursday for Durban to meet the Volcom yobs, just kidding, they’re not yobs. We stayed there for a night and then left for Rhodes the next day, stayed there for a night and then left for the snow on Saturday. It was great to see 13 grown men become 12 years old again as soon as they could get their hands on some snowballs. But anyway, here a few are the pics, still working on the rest of them. I’ll post the rest when they are ready. Look out for the new issue of Session to see the whole story.
So, here eventually, are my images from our little excursion to Oppkikoppi. It is a small selection of what I shot (I’m not going to upload a hundred or so images) but we are having exhibitions of the work in Cape Town and in Johannesburg pretty soon. As soon as I have finalized dates I will post them here. You will also be able to see the portraits of Johnny from Fokof, Inge from Lark, Nosisi from Kwani Experience, Albert Frost and DJ Kenzhero in Levi’s stores in a month or so. My portraits and Liam’s live work is being used for Levi’s new ad campaign.
